The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Akwa Ibom Northeast (Uyo) Senatorial District in the February 2023 National Assembly election, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Emaeyak Ukpong has described as an home coming the visit of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR to Akwa Ibom State for the formal flag off of the APC Presidential campaign billed to hold today, 30th January, 2023 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
Dr Emaeyak who was quoted in a Goodwill Message by his Campaign Council named Barasuene Empowerment Team (BET), also welcomed to the State, the 2023 APC Presidential Candidate, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu whom he described as the incoming President of Nigeria.
The message which was signed by the Director of Media and Publicity of the Campaign Council, Mr. Ime Silas noted that with the number of national appointments given to the indigenes of Akwa Ibom State, being the highest since the state’s creation in 1987, President Buhari-led APC government has demonstrated unprecedented fairness and love for the people of the state.
The message further stressed that given the detribalized nature of the APC Presidential candidate which he exhibited during his tenure as governor of Lagos state; Uyo Senatorial District in particular and Akwa Ibom State in general, would benefit more from Tinubu’s Presidency.
The message also quoted Dr. Emaeyak Ukpong calling on his teeming supporters in Uyo Senatorial District and the good people of Akwa Ibom State to come out en masse to welcome Mr. President, the APC Presidential candidate and members of the APC Presidential Campaign Council to the State, reiterating that if voted as Senator, he would work harmoniously with the incoming APC administration to ensure the actualization of his Barasuene phillosophy for the good people of Uyo Senatorial District.
