The appointment of the State Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Akwa Ibom State; Dr Clement Awakessien into the Edo State 2024 Governorship National Campaign Council has been described as a sign of recognition of his sterling leadership qualities and role in the party’s stability.
This assertion was made by the leadership of the APC Youth Alliance for Continuity (AYAC), Akwa Ibom State Chapter in its message of congratulations to Dr. Awakessien on his appointment as a member of the Youth Mobilization Subcommittee for the Edo State gubernatorial race.
Signed by its State Convener, Hon. Uko Frank and Secretary, Miss Nyeneime Ekanem, AYAC noted with satisfaction the various reforms introduced into the APC Youth Wing by the State Youth Leader, expressing their hope of better opportunities for the youths of the party in the state through him.

AYAC prayed God for His guidance and wisdom upon the APC State Youth Leader in his new assignment.
Recall that the APC in a in a release signed by its National Organizing Secretary, H.E. Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, OFR, had appointed prominent Nigerians of the APC extraction into the Edo State Governorship Campaign Council.
While the current Senate President and former governor of Akwa Ibom State; His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio CON is to serve as Chairman of the Council’s Finance Committee to be co-chaired by Kwara State Governor, H. E, Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, the Youth Mobilization Committee is chaired by Kogi State Governor, H.E Ahmed Usman Ododo, with Edo State Deputy Governor, H.E, Philip Shaaibu as Deputy Chairman.
