Ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State, President of the Senate, His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio has assured Edolites of a new dawn under the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State.
The Senate President who gave the assurance in his brief remark at the Grand Finale of the APC rally held today in Benin City, Edo State also charged party leaders and members in the state to be united in order to achieve victory.
In a post-event release posted on his verified Social Media handles, Senator Akpabio also assured the youths of Edo State that Monday Okpebholo, the APC gubernatorial standard bearer for Edo State, would do everything within his powers to meet their yearnings.
Akpabio said “Today, in Benin City, the Edo State capital, I joined our dear Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, who represented President Bola Tinubu, the National Chairman of our great party; Dr Umar Ganduje, some of my distinguished colleagues, APC Governors and party leaders at the Edo APC Governorship Grand Rally.
In my brief remarks at the rally, I charged party members on the need to rally support and be united for the candidates of the party, by mobilizing people to the polling units to cast their votes for them on Saturday.
I assured the people of Edo State, particularly, the youths that the Monday Okpebholo-led government will do everything within its powers to assist them attain their potential in life, through human capital development and empowerment.
I also informed them that linking the state back to the centre, would guarantee a lot of federal projects and empowerment for the Indigenes”.
