A foremost sociopolitical organization in Etinan local government area known as Iman Continuity Mandate (ICM) says the election and subsequent swearing in of Hon. Uko Umoh as Executive Chairman is the best thing to happen in the LGA in recent times.
It could be recalled that the Akwa Ibom State Independent Electoral Commission (AKISIEC) had declared Hon. Uko Umoh who was the Chairmanship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as winner of the chairmanship election held in Etinan LGA last Saturday, October 5, 2024.
His swearing in along with his Vice; Hon. Imaobong Michael as well as chairmen and vice chairmen of the other thirty local government areas of Akwa Ibom State was conducted by the State Governor, His Excellecncy, Pastor Umo Eno at the Government House in Uyo on Monday, October 7.
In its message of felicitations to the newly sworn in Chairman signed by Director-In-Chief, Obong (Hon) Emmanuel Titus, ICM noted that with Uko’s emergence, Etinan was in for an all-round development.
The message read “On behalf of the Directorate and members of Iman Continuity Mandate (ICM), I, Obong (Hon) Emmanuel Titus write to convey our sincere felicitations to Hon. Uko Umoh on the occasion of his election and subsequent swearing in as the Executive Chiarman of Etinan local government area. We also wish to congratulate Hon. Imaobong Michael on her emergence and swearing in as Vice chairman.
We are most delighted to note that as an organization which was at the forefront of the campaigns, ICM can boldly say that your election is one of the best things to happen in Etinan LGA in recent times”.
While also commending the leaders, stakeholders and the entire people of Etinan for voting en masse for Hon. Uko Umoh, the group expressed its confidence that the LGA was in for better days ahead.
“We recall that campaigning for you to emerge as the Chairmanship candidate of our great party was not a very difficult task given your superlative performance within your few months tenure in office as the Transition Chairman of Etinan.
Your landslide victory at the polls also came very easy because every nook and cranny of the entire Iman Ibom could feel the impact of your leadership as Transition Chairman.
Iman Continuity Mandate wishes to also commend the PDP stakeholders as well as the entire Iman Ibom people for unanimously making you their choice.
As you settle down for your fresh tenure as the Executive Chairman, we have the confidence that you shall continue your good works of changing the narratives of, and repositioning our dear Etinan local government area for the purpose of regaining its lost glory”.
