… as Gov Emmanuel Commissions Asan Ibibio Complex

Akwa Ibom State Governor-elect, Pastor Umo Eno has advocated a stronger bond of unity among the Ibibio to sustain the peace and fast track the progress of the people.

Speaking at a well-attended official commissioning of an ultra-modern Asan Ibibio complex, ancestral home of the Ibibio people, by Governor Udom Emmanuel, he appealed that the exercise should mark the beginning of stronger unity among the people at home and in Diaspora.

He commended Governor Emmanuel for his laudable commitment to the development of the state which according to him, has translated to a series of project inauguration across the state.

Pastor Eno, who is a former Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources in the state, maintained that the governor is ending very well with countless completed and commissioned projects, as well as many underway.

According to him, “Your Excellency, the Bible says that better is the end of a matter than the beginning thereof. Every day, as we draw close to the end of this administration, it looks like we shouldn’t even end.

“There are many more projects to commission and this is just one of it. We still have the Airport terminal, we have the runway, the MRO and several roads. You are rounding off well and finishing very strong; we are so proud of you. Thank you so much, indeed.

In his call for unity, he said, “I appeal that this should be the beginning of unity in Ibibio land because I believe strongly that, in unity there is peace and progress. May this house be a house of peace and unity in Jesus name, Amen.”
