The Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Akwa Ibom State; Sir Monday Ebong Uko has congratulated the Governor-elect; Pastor Umo Eno, describing his victory at March 18 gubernatorial poll as the people’s referendum.

Monday Uko who stated this in his Congratulatory Message on the occasion of the presentation of Certificate of Return to Umo Eno, who was PDP governorship candidate, expressed the hope that the Governor-elect would remember his promises to Akwa Ibom people as enshrined in his ARISE Agenda.

The message dated March 30, 2023 which the Honourable Commissioner personally signed, reads “On behalf of my wife, Dr. Blessing Ebong Uko and family, I heartily congratulate you on your deserved victory at the recently-concluded Akwa Ibom state Governorship election and presentation of Certificate of Return as Governor-elect by INEC.

We consider your victory, at an exceptionally free, fair and credible election, as our people’s referendum on your time-tested capacity to consolidate the gains of democracy and supplement the legacies of the Governor Udom Emmanuel administration through the maintenance of peace and the holistic development of our dear state on all fronts.
