Annual General Conference holds in Abuja, August 8

Association of General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria, AGPMPN, Akwa Ibom State Branch, has elected new executive members, with Dr. Emmanuel Akpanobong as Chairman, to pilot its affairs.

The emergence of the new executives, according to a press release signed by the Public Relations Officer, PRO, Dr. Etukakpan Etukakpan, followed the dissolution of the old executive.

The release reads “There was a successful albeit long-awaited change in the leadership of the AGPMPN in Akwa Ibom State. The old team was dissolved and Dr Udeme Akpan(Dammy Memorial Hospital) was appointed the returning officer for the elections, a job which he did successfully.

“At the end of which, the following new officers emerged: Dr Emmanuel Akpanobong – Chairman Dr Emem Abraham – Vice Chairman Dr Silas Isonguyo – Secretary
Dr Solomon Udoh – Asst Secretary
Dr Nsikak Udokang – Treasurer
Dr Chris Akpan – Financial Secretary
Dr Etukakpan Solomon Etukakpan – PRO
Ex-officio 1: Dr David Umoessien
Ex-officio 2: Dr Effiong Inyang

“The new Chairman made an acceptance speech and took over the reins of leadership. A proper handover was not possible because the former Secretary was unavoidably absent. A later date will be fixed for that. All members were reminded to update their financial status and prepare to attend the Annual General Conference coming up in Abuja from the 8th of August, 2021”.
