…Calls for peaceful coexistence and total support

The Executive Chairman of Uyo Capital City Development Authority, UCCDA, Otuekong Prince Enobong Uwah, earlier today admonished the newly sworn-in Commissioner from Uyo Local Government Area, Dr John James Etim to put in his best in the course of serving the people.

The UCCDA Helmsman made the statement at Convent Primary School, Anua during the reception organised by the people of Uyo to celebrate their illustrious son on his meritorious appointment as Commissioner.

Speaking, Uwah kicked against disunity, calling on all to embrace peace, which will enhance development and stability in the local government and beyond.

He equally emphasized the need to support His Excellency Deacon Udom Emmanuel, the lofty programs embarked by the State government aimed at improving the well-being of every Akwa Ibom person.

Popularly known as “Champion of Uyo” Prince Uwah, who also chaired the occasion, used the opportunity to thank the Governor for appointing another Uyo son into the State Executive Council. He said;

“I thank His Excellency for making our dreams come true. This is Uyo – the dream of our forebear. More appointments and benefits will come to Uyo if we embrace Unity”

In appreciation, the newly sworn-in Commissioner, Dr. John James Etim, appreciated the Elders, Stakeholders, royal fathers and Political class for coming out en masse to rejoice with him. He promised to carry the people along while rendering his services to the State.
