… employment into public service is free -Head of Service

By Ime Silas

The Management of Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission, CSC, has warned job seekers to be weary of fake job advertisements circulating in some social media handles, saying such did not emanate from them. This is just as the Head of Civil Service in the state has debunked any recruitment notice purportedly emanating from his office.

In their separate press releases signed for the State Civil Service Commission by its Chairman, Mrs. Ekereobong Umoh and State Civil Service by its Head, Elder Effiong Essien, the managers of the State’s workforce attributed the fake job adverts to unscrupulous elements and fraudsters.

According to Mrs. Ekereobong “The attention of the Management of Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission, has been drawn to a publication making the rounds in some social media handles with the caption, “Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission Senior Staff Recruitment Portal 2024/2025 Application”.

The Commission’s Boss further noted that “the Commission has debunked the information, describing it as baseless, false and a calculated attempt by unscrupulous elements  to mislead job seekers and members of the public.

The Management of Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission by this rejoinder, has disassociated itself from the fake publication and wishes to inform the general public to beware and be properly guided, as the said recruitment publication did not emanate from its office”

While reiterating that employments into the State’s Civil Service remained free, Elder Effiong said “The attention of the Office of the Head of Civil has been drawn to recent fake  job vacancies into the Akwa Ibom State Civil Service and the State Secondary Education Board(SSEB) advertised in some media platforms including fake AKS WEBSITES, Facebook and other social media platforms by fraudsters. They demand online or cash payment into their accounts for such employments.

Government hereby, informs the teeming job-seekers, parents and the general public that these advertised job vacancies are fake, ill-intended and should be discountenanced.
