2021: OUR HOPE IS ON THE ONE WHO MAKES ALL THINGS HAPPEN
The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council, expresses her sincere gratitude to the Almighty God for His faithfulness in the lives of all the journalists in the State in 2020 and His grace, which has ushered them into 2021.
Our hope is not in the new year, because we cannot discern its fruits now, but on the Almighty God, who makes all things happen.
We salute the numerous sacrifices of our colleagues, who ensured at all times that the path of journalism practice in the State was paved with objectivity, truth and accurate news reports, in previous years.
We assure Akwa Ibom people that the media community will continue to project, report and bring to the front burner every issue that will advance public good and interest.
In the same vein, the media community will continue to hold the legs of government to the fire in the discharge of its responsibilities.
While urging all journalists to continue to discharge their duties of informing, entertaining and educating the society, we are fast to advise that they should be mindful of the fact that COVID-19, is real. So, we urge them to observe all safety protocols in their daily engagements.
We pray the love of God to abide tremendously in the lives of all the journalists throughout the year.
Welcome to 2021.
