…as Court declines Binani’s relief
UPDATED! Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of PDP has officially won the 2023 Adamawa State Governorship election to secure a second term.
Ahmadu Fintiri (PDP): 430, 821✅
Aisha Binani (APC): 396,788
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has resumed the Collation of results of Supplementary election in Adamawa state conducted last Saturday, having suspended the Resident Electoral Commission (REC), and IGP transferring the commissioner of police.
The INEC Administrative Secretary is now serving as the REC as directed by INEC, collating results from the remaining 10 LGAs.
Meanwhile, a Federal High court has declined Binani’s request to stop INEC from voiding her declaration as winner of Adamawa guber.
Also, the results so far announced from 4 LGAs are not favorable to APC’s Binani.
PDP’s Fintri May have the day against Binani.
However, pundits were hoping that Nigeria would have her first female Governor with Binani. Unfortunately, it may not go that way.
INEC has been lauded for doing a great and commendable job.
