Meanwhile, the leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, a platform for all Nigerian Students, has called on the federal and Kaduna State governments to live up to their constitutional duty of providing adequate security for the citizenry.

The students’ position was captured in a press release dated December 19, 2021, a copy of which was obtained by our paper.

While we are mourning the death of Hon Rilwan, member Kaduna state house of assembly representing Giwa and others , we received yet again another disheartening news of attack on Kauran Fawa, market and Riheya village in Idasu Giwa local government over 20 resident lost their lives.

These attacks call for serious concern from men of goodwill and conscience as things are conspicuously getting deteriorating, while citizens remain aloof and sleep with one eye.

This situation made it imperative for us not to only condemn the unfortunate action by the blood tasty bandits but to also challenge government to rise up to its primary responsibility of safeguarding the lives of its citizens, since providing a serene society remains the constitutional mandate of the establishment.

We call on the Kaduna state government and federal government to live up to expectation by providing adequate security to her citizens.

Thank you

AMB, Uzaifa Bello
Chairman NANS Kaduna axis
