The Nigerian Football Federation have confirmed that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will play their next African Cup of Nations 2024 qualifying game at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium also known as the Nest Of Champions.
CAF had earlier stated that the stadium in Uyo is the only stadium in the whole country that meets the standards of hosting an international match — Had Nigeria not had this stadium, their home games would be taken to Morocco or Ghana.
The last time Nigeria played at this venue, they qualified for both the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 African Cup Of Nations in Russia and Egypt respectively.
