The joint leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) has suspended the indefinite nationwide strike.

The organized labour had declared the nationwide indefinite industrial action which commenced yesterday, Monday, 3rd June, 2024.

Among the demands of the Labour Movements were a quick implementation of a new and ‘living’ national minimum Wage to workers in the country.

The organized labour also demanded the reversal of the increased electricity tariff from N65/kilowatt hours to N225/kilowatt hours.

The nationwide indefinite Strike recorded full compliance across Nigeria yesterday as workers and Civil Society organizations, youth groups, etc joined the peaceful demonstration.
