Nigeria may be heading for a total lockdown as prominent citizens, their aides and relatives are at dangers of testing positive for the Corona Virus, also known as Covid-19.

So far, the governor of Bauchi state, His Excellency Senator Bala Mohammed, has been quarantined by the Nigeria Center For Disease Control, NCDC.

Also, the Chief of Staff to the Nigerian President, Abba Kyari and three of his aides have confirmedly tested positive for the dreaded disease.

A source confided in our paper this morning that following the revelation that the Presidential Chief of Staff had had unrestricted contacts with prominent Nigerians upon his return from Egypt and Germany, those identified are currently being subjected to tests and isolation.

One of such contacts, according to our source is the governor of Kogi state, His Excellency, Yahaya Bello. Our source, a Medical personnel in Abuja, who did not wish to be mentioned in this report, as according to him, he was not authorized to speak to the press, said the symptoms gleaned from the North Central governor suggested he could be infected, adding that health authorities were still awaiting the final result.

Meanwhile, the Presidency is reportedly considering a total lockdown of the country as a tough measure to prevent the spread of the virus.
