Earlier on Friday, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Ita Enang paid a condolence visit on the family of Nkanga at Ikot Nya, Nsit Ibom over the death of former Military Administrator of Akwa Ibom State, Late Air Commodore Idongesit Nkanga (Rtd.)

He also commiserated with the people of Ikot Nya, Nsit Ibom and Akwa Ibom State over the demise of their political leader.

According to the presidential aide, “the death of our former Military Administrator, Chairman PANDEF and political leader, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga is a great loss to our State, Akwa Ibom in particular, Niger Delta as well as the entire Nigeria as his leadership quality and wise counsels would be greatly missed.

“On behalf of myself, my family and people of Niger Delta, I offer my deepest sympathy to the family of Nkanga, Nsit Ibom, and the entire Akwa Ibom State over the demise of our great leader, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga.

“Our consolation is that he lived a life dedicated to national service, providing leadership, wise counsel. He will be greatly missed.”

“We will continue to take consolation in the fact that the deceased lived a good life and has left a good legacy in the state, Niger Delta region as well as Nigeria.

“I pray God Almighty to grant the deceased eternal rest and to grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”.
