The Chairman, Etim Ekpo Local Government Transition Committee, Hon. Ekpuk Eshiet has congratulated the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno on his Supreme Court victory describing it as a validation of the collective wishes of the people.
The Council Chairman who stated this in a Message of felicitations to the state’s Chief Executive on his recent victory at the Supreme court which affirmed his election, reasoned that the people’s desire to continue enjoying peace and tranquility culminated in the governor’s electoral victory, last year.
“On behalf of the Local Government Council and the entire people of Etim Ekpo Local Government Area, I, Hon. Ekpuk Eshiet hereby write to Congratulate the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno on his victories at the Supreme Court over the 2023 gubernatorial election”, Hon. Eshiet said in the message which he personally signed.
He continued “I recall that on the 18th of March, 2023, the good people of Akwa Ibom State through the ballots, made a collective statement that they desire to keep enjoying the peace and tranquility in the state. That statement culminated in His Excellency’s victory as our Executive Governor.
By this victory, the Supreme court has validated the collective wishes of the people. I pray that the Almighty God give you the wisdom to execute the responsibilities of your mandate. Once again, congratulations, Your Excellency”
