**Presidential aide commends pace, quality of work

Efforts are underway to ensure that studies commence at the Police Secondary School located at Mbak Obio, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, when a fresh school session resumes after the COVID-19 enforced break.

The disclosure was made over the weekend by the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Ita Enang, when he led newsmen to the project site.

Enang applauded the pace and quality of work executed, and pledged that the construction work which started in February 2020 will be completed in the month of September or October 2020.

The presidential adviser who facilitated the location of the project in Akwa Ibom State added that he will continue supervising it to ensure that it is delivered on record time.

“Just like the Airforce Secondary School in Ibesikpo Asutan and Police Secondary School in Ukana, this is another one that I had to bring here. It is going to be residential too, they will soon start the construction of the hostels”, he further explained.

The presidential adviser also applauded the host community, Mbak Obio, for donating land for the project.

A native of the community, Mr. Udosen Ita, expressed delight over the project, describing it as a sign of more good things to come to Mbak Obio.

Ita commended President Buhari and Senator Enang for the gesture.

Owned by federal government, the school, when studies commence, is expected to be supervised by Federal Ministry of Police Affairs and the office of the Inspector General of Police.
