…70-year-old woman kidnapped, killed in Enugu

The Enugu State Police Command, through its Anti-Kidnapping Tactical Squad, have arrested two suspects identified as Ikechukwu Okoye (male, aged 33) and Juliet Ogbodo (female, aged 39), both of Onuorie-Obuno in Akpugo Community, Nkanu West Local Government Area.

They are accused of the kidnapping, murder, and burying Mrs. Mary Nwatu, a 70-year-old woman, in a shallow grave sometime in September 2024.

Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that the victim was reported missing on September 15, 2024, after which all efforts to locate her proved unsuccessful.
