His Excellency, Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon Mai Mala Buni FCIA, said he was delighted as he commissioned the Legal Research & Documentation Centre, located at the High Court of Justice Headquarters, Damaturu. According to the governor, there was no doubt that the judiciary must always rise to the challenge in order to strengthen the belief of the common man.

A release on the heels of the commissioning ceremony dated 17th December, 2020, signed by Jalo Buni, Special Assistant on Social Media to the Governor, quoted His Excellency as saying that his administration has a great respect for the fundamental right of every citizen as enshrined in the law books, regardless of their position in the society.


The Governor said his administration would continue to support the judiciary, rights of the people, as well as promote equity, justice and fair play.


Governor Buni in his remarks also said he will support the judiciary to adopt the modern method of research and documentation to move away from the traditional time, and urged the judicial officers to make good use of the centre in order to justify government’s investments in the project.

The release also added that the commissioning of the judicial facility was a testimony to the collective drive towards improving judiciary and dispensation of justice in the courts across Yobe state.


The Governor urged His Lordship, the Chief Judge of the state, Hon Justice Gomna Kashim Kaigama, to continue flourishing and be identified with justice, equity and fair play.
