Moved by the spirit of the season, the Executive Director, Akwa Ibom Agric Investments, Pastor Umo Eno on Monday, December 21, put smiles on the faces of widows of Nsit Ubium extraction with gift of rice and cash to celebrate Christmas.

The widows who were selected from the eleven political wards of the area, assembled at the country home of Pastor Umo Eno at Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area with singing and dancing typical of the season.

Addressing the women, Pastor Eno said Christmas is about Christ and Christ is love hence the leading to celebrate Christ with them.

Pastor Eno who is the Ward leader of Ibiakpan Obotim Ward II, and the Political Leader of Nsit, in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, said he is a lieutenant of the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel whose utmost priority is the welfare of citizens adding that his gesture was motivated by the humanist nature of his principal, the Governor.

He disclosed that the State Government was making plans to support the women in agriculture, ensure food sufficiency and a better life for the women across the state.

While urging them to continously pray for the success of the Governor Udom Emmanuel led administration, he also prayed that God will continue to bless, protect and provide for the widows.

Also speaking, Wife of the Executive Director and political leader, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno empathized with the women and urged them to embrace God as their Lord and Saviour adding that Jesus is the husband to the widows and will continue to bring good people to support them.

She said the gesture was borne out of the love and empathy the husband has for the windows, even as she said God was thinking more about them and prayed that what has been given to them will be nourishing to them and families.

In a vote of thanks, one of the beneficiaries said the gift of rice and cash was the best thing happening to them within the season adding that it was always embarrassing not having cooked rice to present to children at Christmas.

While praying for wisdom and success of Governor Udom led administration, she wished Pastor Umo Eno and family more blessings within the Christmas season and beyond.

Expressing their excitements, the women sang different songs with matching dance steps in praises to God for the gift of Pastor Umo Eno to Nsit Ubium people and prayed that blessings and promotion will not depart from him and household.
