As part of his empowerment drive and celebration of the 2023 Yuletide with his people, the member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Rep. Unyime Idem, has facilitated the employment of another set of six of his constituents into the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC.

NBC is a federal government agency responsible for regulating the broadcasting industry in Nigeria.

The beneficiaries are;

Utenge Edidiong Ntekpe

Edikan Saturday Michael

Nsikak Sunday Udo

Eyop Monday Mendie

Enomfon Sunday Etette, and

Ofong Ubon Oliver.

Handing them their letters of employment, Rep. Idem, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Public Procurement, reiterated his resolve to use his office and connection to facilitate employment for as many Akwa Ibomites as possible into Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs.

He charged them to be good ambassadors of the federal constituency and Akwa Ibom state, in their place of work.

According to the federal lawmaker, “it is my firm believe that in the next 10 to 15 years, we will have Akwa Ibomites as directors, permanent secretaries and others in top management positions in the federal MDAs. This way, we’ll be sure to drag federal presence, projects and programmes to Akwa Ibom state and lessen the burden on the state government.”
