More than 100 people have been reported dead following a 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Morocco which is the strongest earthquake to hit Morocco after a period of 123 years.

The earthquake was witnessed in the High Northern African country’s Atlas Mountain region, located South West of Marrakech.

At Press time, it was not clear the total number of the affected residents rescued.
