A National Diploma II (ND2) student of the department of Electrical Electronics (SWISS), Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua in Ikot Ekpene; Udeme Saviour Solomon has been reportedly shot and killed by yet-to-be identified attackers.

According to a post by social media user, Da Zion Umoh, Udeme’s attackers fled with their victim’s handset.

While attack on Udeme took place yesterday (Saturday) at Ikot Uboh, a similar incident had occurred earlier on Friday along Ekani Road but the victim, Victor Odu narrowly escaped as he afterwards underwent an emergency surgery.

According to Da Zion Umoh “On #FRIDAY night, Victor Odu, an outgoing HND2 student in the Department of Electrical Electronics, was shot near the former Christ Embassy church, along Ekani road. 

He underwent emergency surgery to remove six bullets from his face and he is currently recovering.

Udeme Saviour Solomon, an ND2 student in the Department of Electrical Electronics (SWISS), was fatally shot in the head on #SATURDAY night at Ikot Uboh. His phone was stolen, and he unfortunately did not survive.

The State Command of the Nigeria Police has yet to speak on the matter.

There have been reports of pockets of attacks and kidnaps recently in some parts of Akwa Ibom State.
