His Excellency, Executive Governor of Zamfara state, Hon (Dr) Bello Muhammed Mutawallen Maradun, has returned home after a 4 day working visit to Abuja.

This was confirmed through a government press statement dated 7th March, 2021, and signed by Ibrahim Magaji Dosara Hon. Commissioner for Information.

The statement noted that during the visit, His Excellency briefed the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, on the state of affairs in Zamfara state, particularly relating to security.

The statement reads “The President has assured the governor of his full support, cooperation and backing in whatever actions he will take to ensure security of lives and property of Zamfara people.

To this end, people are hereby advised to remain calm and law abiding in carrying out their legitimate business as usual.

“Government will not condone or tolerate any acts capable of breaching the peace and tranquility of the state.

Anybody found violating the law and order will be dealt with decisively.

“Security forces are hereby directed to carry out their duties effectively to ensure safety and security of lives and property of the people in all the nooks and crannies of the state.

His Excellency is also appreciative of the enduring support and understanding of the people”
