Kwara state Governor, His Excellency, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the implementation of the 2015, 2016 and 2017 promotion arrears for TESCOM teachers in the state.

The governor made this known in a tweet on his verified social media handle confirmed by our paper.

The recent promotion, according to the governor, came barely two months after he earlier promoted about 7,000 civil servants under the Kwara state employ

His Excellency stated thus in the tweet “We have approved the implementation of 2015, 2016 and 2017 promotion arrears for TESCOM teachers in the state. This is part of our commitment to workers’ welfare.

“This is coming barely two months after we promoted nearly 7,000 civil servants and backed same with commensurate financial benefits.

We acknowledge that there are still outstanding promotions and arrears, some dating as far back as 2010, that we inherited which need to be settled. We will keep working on freeing up resources to gradually implement them while also delivering on our campaign promises to the general public within available resources”.
