As part of efforts to fast-track activities towards achieving the Final Investment Decision, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and ONHYM of Morocco (Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines) have intensified discussions at a meeting held on the sidelines of the engagement between the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, and the Honourable Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development of the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Ms. Leila Benali, in Rabat.

The discussions were led by the DG ONHYM, Mme. Amina Benkhadra, and NNPC Ltd.’s EVP, Gas, Power and New Energy, Mr. Olalekan Ogunleye and focused on expediting activities to achieve the FID and commence project execution. Key areas discussed include Gas Supply, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), Survey, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and project cost optimisation.
