Wife of Nigeria’s current President; Her Excellency, Sen (Mrs) Oluremi Bola Tinubu has urged fellow women in the country to get involved in farming in order to produce more food.

The First Lady who is also a former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria said via her verified Social Media handle:

“I would like to encourage all Nigerian women to get involved in farming and food production. I have planted 7 different vegetables.”

Her husband; His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, who was elected Nigeria’s President on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was sworn in on May 29, 2023.

His emergence as President of the world’s most populous black nation was greeted with serious hardship occasioned by his public pronouncement of fuel subsidy removal in his inaugural speech.

President Tinubu is a former two-term governor of Lagos state.
