…it takes immediate effect -Spokesman

The Republic of Niger’s military junta has ended its military cooperation agreement with the United States of America (USA).

According to the Nigerien authorities, the decision takes immediate effect.

This was disclosed via the spokesman for the country’s military government, Amadou Abdramane who was said to have made the announcement during a visit by a high-ranking US envoy, Molly Phee.

Our paper further gathered that attempts by Phee to hold talks with the Niger junta leader, Abdourahamane Tchiani were unsuccessful. Abdramane did not say why they ended military ties with the US.
