The All Progressives Congress, APC Chairmanship Candidate for Katsina Local Council Elections, Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude hosted the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Katsina State yesterday on a courtesy visit.

The union delegations were led by the State Vice Chairman, Alh. Shamsudden Dutsinma along with other leaders of the union from Katsina Local Government.

The meeting which was held at the Gwagware Foundation Conference Hall, served as an avenue where the leaders of the union spent a lengthy time discussing the pressing issues facing the union and equally sought the intervention of Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude to address the challenges being faced.

Speaking further, the State Vice Chairman of NURTW, highlighted the critical roles played by the union during the previous elections held both in Katsina and the nation at large that brought the APC into power and maintained that the union members will repeat similar gestures to Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude come February, 15th 2025 for the sustainability of the legacies of the APC in all levels.

Responding, Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude expresses his gratitude to Almighty Allah for making us alive to be here and have this discussion that centered around the development of Katsina Local Government.

Speaking further on the pressing issues, Hon. Miqdad, assured the union delegations that he’s not going to neglect the union if elected Chairman KTLG, highlighting some of the policies he intends to bring on board as chairman, Mr. Miqdad stresses the importance of uplifting the operational standard of the union so that it will compete with the National and international levels.

Similarly, Hon. Miqdad AD Saude, maintained that all this can be achieved when the union leaders cooperate with the local Government officials in bringing revenue promptly according to him, with the revenue being collected, the motor park stations across the 12 political wards that constitute Katsina Local Government Area will be upgraded to operate in a modern way and up to standard.

Hon. Miqdad concludes by thanking the delegations of NURTW and reaffirms his readiness to effect the policies he highlighted earlier if elected Chairman KTLG, and seeks the union’s cooperation and understanding and patience.
