A REWARDING ONE YEAR OF THE GOLDEN ERA
Your Excellency,
On behalf of the good people of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, I congratulate you on this auspicious occasion of your one year anniversary as Governor of our dear State. Our unflinching support towards your aspiration from the onset was not only because of the strong ties you share with Mkpat Enin but also borne out of our conviction that you were the most prepared for the audacious task of leading the State.
Your Excellency, upon assumption of office, you made a pledge to Akwa Ibom people, that among other things, your administration will not leave any community behind. In keeping to that promise, within one year, you have ensured that government projects, programmes, and interventions spread across every part of the State. Particularly, through the One Project Per Local Government initiative, you have given every Akwa Ibomite a sense of ownership in your administration.
In just one year, Akwa Ibom has scored high across all the indices of economic growth which points to the fact that the ARISE Agenda has been a success story so far. You have truly ushered us into the Golden Era of people-centered governance.
For us in Mkpat Enin, beyond these bountiful democratic dividends, it has been one year of learning profound lessons in leadership and governance – lessons on inclusiveness, unity and love. Your exceptional qualities have been our guiding principles at the grassroots, and it has been a delight replicating your giant strides in our communities. The bumper harvest in just one year has given the assurance that we will achieve much more in the remaining years.
