Emem Usoro, a native of Akwa Ibom State in Southern Nigeria, leads a fulfilling life as a devoted spouse and loving parent.
She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Uyo in 1996 and pursued further education, acquiring a Master’s in Business Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University in 1997. Emem’s thirst for knowledge led her to attend the Senior Management Program at Lagos Business School, Pan African University in 2007. Seeking to enhance her leadership skills, she also completed the Strategic Management Program and General Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
Emem Usoro is recognized as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
Career:
Emem embarked on her professional journey as a branch manager at the Defunct Bank PHB from 2004 to 2007. She then assumed the role of Zonal Head until 2009 when she was appointed as the Regional Executive of Victoria Island Region.
Joining the United Bank for Africa (UBA) in 2010, Emem served as the Regional Head of the Akwa Ibom and Abuja Branches from 2010 to 2013. Her unwavering dedication and exceptional performance propelled her to ascend through the ranks, ultimately becoming an Executive Director in 2022.
