The All Progressives Congress (APC) State Youth Leader, Akwa Ibom State; Hon (Dr.) Clement Awakessien has appreciated His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu for appointing two indigenes of the state into the new management board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
It could be recalled that President Tinubu on Tuesday appointed the duo of Rt. Hon Victor Antai and Mr. Abasiandikan Okono as Executive Director of Projects and Akwa Ibom State Representative, respectively, into the new management board of the NDDC.
In a message of congratulations dated August 31, 2023, the State Youth Leader also thanked the President of the Nigerian Senate; His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Godswill Akpabio for his role in the appointments, noting that the former Akwa Ibom Governor, was demonstrating his belief in rewarding hard Work, commitment and steadfastness.
The message reads “On behalf of the Youth Wing of our great Party -The All Progressives Congress, APC, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, I write to convey to you, Rt. Hon (Sir) Victor Antai KJW, and Mr. Abasiandikan Okono, our hearty congratulations on your well-deserved appointments as the Executive Director of Projects and Akwa Ibom State Representative/Commissioner, respectively, in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
We must at this juncture, thank the President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for finding you both fit for these important positions. Also deserving of our immense appreciation is our Grand Leader and President of the Senate, His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON, for his role which culminated in these national appointments.
It is important to note here that by these appointments, our Grand Leader has once again demonstrated his strong belief in rewarding hard work, commitment and steadfastness”.
While stressing that the appointees had shown commitment towards the ideals of the APC, Dr. Awakessien expressed the readiness of his party’s Youth wing to have a good working relationship for the betterment of the youths.
He continued “Their respective commitment towards the ideals of our great Party is never in doubt hence our total belief that they shall use their new offices to bring about development to Akwa Ibom State in particular and the Niger Delta region in general.
As we look forward to having a good working relationship with you for the betterment of the APC Youth Wing in the state, we hope that you shall employ your time-tested experiences in the discharge of the functions of your new offices to justify the confidence of Mr. President in you.
