The Sole Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Barr. Effiong Akwa at Akpautong, Esit Eket local government area on Saturday January 9, 2021 solicited for the support of the Commission by all stakeholders of the region irrespective of tribe, ethnic groups and political parties.

Akwa, made the appeal at the interactive stakeholders meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Represented by his aide, Chief Aniekan Akpan, former chairman of Eket local government, Akwa, said the development of the Niger Delta can only be achieved through the support, contribution of ideas and proper consultation, saying the Commission under Barr Effiong Akwa is poised to change the face of Niger Delta for the well-being of the citizens of the region

Chief Aniekan Akpan, thanked the party leadership of the senatorial district for organizing the interactive meeting and opined that the meeting should be periodically and rotational to enabled all federal constituencies in the senatorial district to host the leaders and stakeholders of the party.

He said the Commission would be well positioned after the conclusion of President Muhammadu Buhari ordered forensic audit and appealed to all Niger Deltans to support the sincere initiative of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio for the development of the region.

He disclosed that plans are underway for the integration of youths and women in the Commission’s programmes this year.

Akpan, called all stakeholders in the region to rally around the NDDC Sole Administrator, saying the Commission has many life changing events that would ensure the even development of the region.
