…Dr. Edet restates relevance of punctuality to work, improved creativity

As written in the Holy Book, “commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established”, Prov. 16:3.

In accordance with the scriptures, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Glory Edet and Staff of the Ministry have committed the Ministry of Agriculture to God as the 2021 administrative year begins.

In a Solemn Assembly which had as its theme, “The Earth is The Lord’s and The Fullness Thereof”, extracted from Psalm 24:1a, the Honourable Commissioner noted that nothing which has been committed to God ever fails.

The event which took place yesterday, Friday, 8th January at the Civil Service Auditorium, Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, featured special songs, choir rendition as well as special prayers for the Ministry and the Government of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

In her remarks, the Honourable Commissioner appreciated God for the ability given to Staff of the Ministry to march into 2021 and stated that the Ministry has made God the centre stage of all its doings.

“It would have been so unfair for us to start this year, without handing over the Ministry of Agriculture to God”, she continued.

The Agric boss appreciated God for the massive cultivation of Onions which is in progress , the Coconut plantation, the Green House project , the cocoa plantations and every project undertaken by the Governor thro the Ministry of Agriculture. She lauded the Governor of the State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, whom she described as “Jesus Governor” for acknowledging the Supremacy of God and for the impact created in the Agricultural sector through the Ministry. She prayed that all the projects the Governor is undertaking in the Ministry of Agriculture and all other other projects succeed.

Speaking further, she appreciated God for the life of the Guest minister, Apostle (Dr.) U.U Afia for using him for His glory and appreciated the Apostle for the prayers showered on the Ministry. She further thanked Members and Staff of the Ministry, declaring that God blesses them for honouring God. She urged Staff of the Ministry to come to be committed in their official responsibilities, while also assuring participants that the Ministry will be willing to provide them with demonstration farms  to cultivate any crop of their choice and encouraged them to put in their best, “be punctual to work and take every activity of the Ministry of Agriculture seriously”.

Earlier, the Afaha Nsit Area Superintendent of the Apostolic Church Nigeria, Apostle (Dr.)U.U Afia, Ph.D, in his sermon which was taken from Psalm 24:1-10 admonished that everything existing on earth is the creation of God, while noting that as a people that have a God who owns the earth and the fullness thereof, it is important to dominate in every sphere of life. The Apostle prayed for the Honourable Commissioner, the the Ministry of Agriculture and the State. He urged participants to fear God and be wise. Concluding that those who know their God will do exploits.

All participants were later treated to a lunch and other special rewards.
