, Contrary to Section 10 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), the government of Akwa Ibom state is spending billions of taxpayers’ money to promote one religion (Christianity) in the State against other religions making the State a secular State.
, And yet, God has not touched the minds of our leaders. Nothing seems changing in the greedy attitudes of our leaders towards management of public funds and being responsible/accountable to the people of the State.
, Now, one can say, Akwa Ibom state has graduated into a full blown theocratic system of government (government by divine guidance – ONLYGOD); spending several billions of public funds to build an international worship Centre (first-in-Africa), while the people of the state are subjected to harsh economic policies, abject poverty, slavery, starvation, hunger, deprivation, neglect, and nepotism.
, May God help Akwa Ibom people with leaders after His own heart.
I have forgotten that Bible portion that says; “for I was hungry and you gave me no food. I was thirsty and you gave me no drink.”?
