Prof. Wale Sulaiman (PWS), the Asiwaju Ewe of Ajase-Ipo Kingdom, and the President RNZ Foundation has bagged another meritorious Youth capacity and community development Award of Excellence by the Igbomina Youth Assembly (IYA) on Saturday, 20th November 2021.

Igbomina Youth Assembly, a socio-cultural assembly of Igbomina youth decent devoted to the development and progress of Igbomina land under the leadership of Mr Adewumi Adekunle James identified with RNZ Foundation, a humanitarian and community development Non-governmental Organisation under the benevolent leadership of Prof. AbdulRafiu Olawale Sulaiman and his wife Mrs. Patricia Sulaiman for their relentless efforts towards youth capacity development, social investment and financial empowerment across Kwara State.

Engr Timothy Niyi Adebayo, FNSE, the National President for Omo Ibile Igbomina, while presenting the award said that the award was motivated by Prof. Sulaiman’s philanthropic activities in Kwara South and Kwara State as a whole. He described Prof Sulaiman as a genuine and honest man whom he said was committed to the eradication of poverty in the rural areas of Kwara State.

Receiving the award, Prof. Sulaiman expressed his gratitude to the Igbomina Youth Assembly for the award and assured them of his unflinching commitment to the course of development and progress of Kwara South in particular, and Kwara State in general.

The awardee acknowledged the RNZ Foundation partnership with IYA in the recently concluded Cyber Security training for fifty youths in Kwara South. He stated the foundation continuing readiness to partner with them in ensuring that the past glory of Igbomina land is restored. He promised that the RNZ Foundation will look into sponsoring the surgeries of the 50 patients identified during the IYA eye check program.
