…Leads Inauguration Of AKISAT’23 In Uyo
The former Member Representing Eket Federal Constituency at the House of Representives, Rt Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, led a group of stakeholders to inaugurate a support group known as AKISAT’23.
AKISAT’23 which stands for Akwa Ibom Stakeholders for Asiwaju Tinubu 2023 was officially flagged off in Uyo, on Saturday.
The event which was held at the auditorium of Watbridge hotel, Uyo, saw a host of All Progressives Congress supporters and others turn out in large number to witness the occasion.
The former lawmaker who doubled as AKISAT’23 Dean of programmes and spokesman, while delivering a speech on the state of affairs of the group, described Asiwaju Tinubu as a carpenter of ideas, whose innovation has helped transform Lagos State, notably, in the face of crises as he managed Lagos state economy for six years without receiving Federal Government monthly allocation during his tenure as Governor under OBJ’s administration.
He stressed the need for people to support AKISAT’23 and the Tinubu project, that it is an amalgam of non-state actors coming together to move the country forward.
The lawmaker said ” Nigeria is a very good country in a very bad state, with deficit in leadership, Nigeria is in need of good Nigerians. In 2023, no other person will do this than the carpenter of ideas”.
Also speaking on the ocasion were members representing various support groups like; South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA)Sen Dayo Adeyeye, Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT), Dr Chris Enoch, Tinubu Support Organization(TSO), Bishop Ekpe James who all extolled what they described as
Tinubu’s sterling qualities and unique leadership style.
Present on the occasion were Senator Dayo Adeyeye, Senator Adesoye Akande, Prof Chris Ekong, Chief Ime Nta, Arc. Usen Ebong, Chief Robinson Odumoh, Hon Oyetunji Ojo, Hon Tomak Okey, and chief Glory Effiong.
A brief charge was given by Ndueso Young, author of the book ‘Not just A Girl’ on her experiences with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and as a Girl child.
Coordinators for AKISAT’23 at State and local government levels, male and female were inaugurated to represent their various endeavours.
The audience were entertained by Gorrila Theatre Group with dance and drama which earned them a place as the official Theatre group for AKISAT’23 with Senator Akande promising them a bigger stage to showcase their talents.
