President of Nigeria; His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has congratulated the Flying Eagles of Nigeria on their victorious outing against Host country -Argentina.

The West African Team thrashed their longtime soccer rivals, netting two goals to nil in the ongoing under 20 World Cup in Argentina.

With the victory, the Flying Eagles have booked a place in the quarter finals stage of the global soccer tournament.

Reacting to the victory, President Tinubu in a congratulatory message posted on his verified social media handles urged the young team to go continue in their winning streak and make the country proud.

Tinubu said “I congratulate our marvellous Flying Eagles for that sound 2-0 defeat of the host team, Argentina, to secure a quarter final slot at the U-20 World Cup.

I’m rooting for you guys, go and make us proud”.

President Tinubu who succeeded Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), was sworn in on May 29 as Nigeria’s 16th President after his victory at the Presidential election held on February 25, 2023.
