MESSAGE OF CONGRATULATIONS TO THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF AKWA IBOM STATE; HIS EXCELLENCY, PASTOR UMO ENO AND HIS DEPUTY; HER EXCELLENCY, SEN. AKON EYAKANYI ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR FIRST ANNIVERSARY IN OFFICE.

On behalf of the State Executive Committee, Chapter Coordinators and the entire members of Akwa Ibom State Artisans Forum (AAF), we write to felicitate with His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno on the occasion of the 1st Anniversary of his assumption of office as Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

We wish to state here that this First Anniversary is worth celebrating when viewed with the prism of not just performance, but leadership with a human face.

His Excellency, the Governor has in the last one year, introduced and brought to bear a touch of humanity in the affairs of governance of our dear state. Worthy of mention and emulation is the governor’s unprecedented humility, which has not only served as his guide to always ‘put himself in others’ shoes’ when taking governance decisions, but has also endeared him to the people of Akwa Ibom State across party lines.

We wish to also congratulate even as we acknowledge the invaluable contributions of the Deputy Governor; Her Excellency, Sen Akon Eyakanyi to the success story of Akwa Ibom state’s leadership.

That we are enjoying peace today in our state has a lot to be attributed to the peaceful working relationship between the Governor and his Deputy.

It is this harmonious working relationship at the Hilltop Mansion, Uyo, that has led to the massive lives-touching projects and programmes across the length and breadth of the State.

Therefore, as you both gear up for the second year in office, it is our prayers that God will continue to guide and protect you both as you strive to continue providing in Akwa Ibom State a people-oriented governance.
