THE Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has pardoned and recalled Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi, who was suspended on March 12, 2024. The recall process was initiated after a motion was moved by Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro.
Sen. Abba Moro had, while addressing his colleagues, expressed regret on behalf of the suspended Senator.
It would be recalled that the embattled Sen Abdul Ningi had accused the 10th Senate led by His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON of allegedly padding the 2024 budget.
Ningi had also alleged that the budget being implemented by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led government was different from the one which was passed by the National Assembly.
