…Urges sustained compliance with NCDC Guidelines.

The Akwa Ibom State Government Church Monitoring team in charge of Uyo Metropolis, through the Chairman, Prince Enobong Uwah, have called on worshippers to observe NCDC guidelines for the prevention of the spread of the dreaded COVID-19 till the virus is eliminated.
He made the assertion today 19th July, 2020 while on routine monitoring exercise to evaluate the level of compliance in churches as mandated by the State Government.
“As the virus continue to ravage the world, countries are devising various means to avert the spread of the dreaded disease. In order to make the world safe in this era, recommended measures must be duly followed. It should be a continuous thing.
I urge worshippers to continue complying with NCDC guidelines till the virus is gone.” Uwah said.
Prince Uwah, who also serves as the Executive Chairman of the Uyo Capital City Development Authority, UCCDA, further added that, the Akwa Ibom State Government is poised to ensuring the overall safety of the people at any given time.
Uwah appreciated the various churches for cooperating with the team, maintaining that, much should be done in the area of enlightenment and enforcement.
As usual, members of the team comprising the State CAN Chairman, Rev. Dr. Ndueso Ekwere, Lady Dr. Stella Udoh, Rev.Cleopas and Pastor Haruna took part in the monitoring exercise.
The team visited numerous churches within Uyo Capital City. Some of the churches touched include; United Evangelical Church, Mbiaobong Etoi, 570 Oron road, The Redeemed Christian Church of God, 594 Oron road, Full Life Christian Centre, 592 Oron road, Assemblies of God, Airport road, The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Ifa Atai Area Headquarters, Four square Gospel Church, Oron road, Qua Iboe Church, Ifa Atai, Osongama Superintendency, All Christian Gospel Centre, 683 Oron road, The Redeemed Christian Church of God, 365 Oron road, The Apostolic Church, Edem Also Assembly, Etoi Area, Living Faith Church, Ewet Housing Extension, Itiam Edem Akai, Salvation Ministries, 277 Nwaniba road,
