…alerts Nigerian public to report to nearest office

The National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has reportedly stopped the circulation of Benylin Paediatrics Syrup made by Johnson & Johnson, Cape Town, South Africa.

According to reports, the agency said they found out that this specific batch of Benylin Syrup contained allegedly, high levels of Diethylene Glycol, which can be toxic and cause serious health problems.

Here’s what you need to know:

This withdrawal applies to Benylin Paediatrics Syrup with batch number 329304.

This batch was manufactured in May 2021 and expires this month, April 2024.

Members of the Nigerian public who might be in possession of the said syrup have been duly notified to discard same immediately and to alert nearest NAFDAC office.
