While the Akwa Ibom State Police Command led by CP Edgal Imohinme is going about harassing churches for congregating in the state, their men are stacking their multiple victims in unhygienic cells for mere failure to wear face masks.

Most of the churches have large auditoriums, big enough to contain over two thousand (2000) worshippers at a stretch with enough ventilation and better hygiene. Churches in Akwa Ibom state have been restricted to not more than two hundred (200) worshippers, irrespective of the sizes of their auditoriums.

But in a horrific twist of the rule, the Nigeria police at ‘C’ Division, Ikot Akpan Abia, Uyo, as at the time of this report, was stacking up inmates in their tiny cell. As at the time (3:55 pm), the entire premises of the police station was submerged in flood owing to heavy downpour, when our reporter visited.

Every human being within the police ‘quarters’ was forced to take shelter under the only functional admin block of the entire station.
The small 3-bedroom flat hosts guardroom, reception (for relatives of arrest ‘victims’) cell (containing over 50 (fifty) inmates).
