Earlier today, Governor Umo Eno again demonstrated his commitment to enhancing food sufficiency and developing full value-chain for major crops in the state as encapsulated in his ARISE Agenda.

By embarking on an unscheduled visit to the Ibom Green House Technology facility, along Airport road, the Governor makes glaring the fact that he is hands-on and interested in the development of our agricultural sector and equally expressed his willingness to listen to experts on ground, understand their challenges in the sector, and work with them to develop solutions that will boost crop yield.

Suffice to say that the Governor’s visit is of topmost significance because, not only would it help identify areas that need improvement and set a roadmap for enhancing productivity, it will also foster food sufficiency, boost agricultural development and ultimately transform the state into an economic powerhouse.
