Isantim Kenneth Okon, the Political Facilitator of Etinan Local Government Area, a former Council Chairman and present SSA to Akwa Ibom Governor on Special Projects, Waterways, and Coastal Matters, is the chairman of Imo State Gubernatorial Primary Electoral Committee.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Organizing Secretary, Hon. Umar M. Bature, made this known in a press release he signed yesterday, Monday, 10 April.
The release states that Hon. Kenneth Okon will lead a 7- Man committee to conduct a primary tomorrow, Wednesday 12th, April, to produce a Gubernatorial candidate ahead of the Imo State Governorship election later in the year.
Other members committee are Hon. Pascal Ukwuani, Hon. Peace Patrick, Engr. Ashanti Bekewi, Chief (Mrs) Becky Iqwe, Hon. Julius Oforma, while Hon. Olalekan Rotimi will serve as committee secretary.
Speaking on the sidelines, Mr. Samuel Udoh, a community leader, and politician, applauded the decision by the party to appoint Isantim Kenneth Okon to chair the congress.
Udoh said Kenneth Okon has the experience as a true party man, outstanding interpersonal skills as a leader, and the ability to deliver on the Party’s expectations.
