...qualify for Quarter Finals

Various social media users, mostly Nigerians have taken to their different handles to celebrate the victory of the Super Eagles of Nigeria over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) holding in Ivory Coast.

The football team of the host country who were also defeated by the Nigerian team at the group stage, narrowly escaped crashing out of the tournament as they were picked as best losing team.

The Super Eagles edged out the Indomitable Lions by two goals to nil in an astonishing second round soccer game played on Saturday, January 27, 2024.

Prior to the game, a clergy using a social media handle with the name ‘Prophet Elijah Abiri had ‘prophesied’ that the Cameroonian team would defeat Nigerians by three goals to one.

But minutes after Super Eagles’ triumph, Netizens, who took to their various handles, described Elijah Abiri as a ‘fake Prophet’.
