Against the State and Federal Governments’ directives that ransom should not be paid to kidnappers, the Esu’s family have appealed to the general public for assistance to enable them raise the sum of N80,000,000.00 (eighty million naira) which they said was the amount demanded by kidnappers before they released Dr. Robin John Esu.

Our paper, as at press time, is not aware of efforts or positions of the Akwa Ibom State government or the State’s Command of the Nigeria Police Force in relation to the kidnapped doctor.

According to a release by the Esu’s family, Dr. Robin was kidnapped on Tuesday, 30th April, 2024 while attending to patient at his clinic. The kidnapped Medical practitioner according to the release, has some health concerns hence, the need for conceited efforts to get him released as soon as possible.

“Passionate/Urgent Appeal: Help Bring Back Dr. Robin John Esu

Today, we are reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for urgent assistance.

As you have heard, our beloved brother Dr. Robin John Esu, was tragically kidnapped on Tuesday 30th April 2024 in his clinic by 1pm while consulting patients. They’re asking for a huge sum, 80 million naira, to let him go. It’s a lot of money, but we’re trying to gather what we can to get him back home because of his  health condition.
