The Management of Nigerian Book of Records (NBR) has commiserated with the Urubusi family over the untimely death of Deaconess Adesuwa Doreen Urubusi.

In a heartfelt message of condolences signed by the Director-General, Prof David David, Nigerian Book of Records described late Adesuwa, who until her demise was its Director, South-Western Region, as a visionary leader whose passage has left ‘unfillable void’.

The message read “It is with profound sadness that I mourn the passing of Dcns. Adesuwa Doreen Urubusi, a visionary leader and esteemed Director of the Nigerian Books of Record in the South – Western region. Her untimely demise has sent shockwaves of grief throughout the NBR community, the state, and the nation, leaving an unfillable void in the lives of all who knew her.

Personally, I have lost a dear colleague with whom I respect and trust. Her passing is a devastating blow to me and the entire NBR family, who will deeply miss her guidance, wisdom, and unwavering dedication”.

Reminiscing on the late Director’s contributions to the NBR, Prof David continued “As one of NBR Regional Directors, Dcns. Urubusi was a shining exemplar of exceptional leadership, inspiring countless individuals with her visionary approach, grassroots mobilization expertise, and remarkable image-making skills. Her selfless contributions to building a vibrant society will be remembered for generations to come, a demonstration to her enduring legacy.

In this moment of unbearable sorrow, I urge the Urubusi family to find solace in the knowledge that Dcns. Adesuwa lived a life of purpose, passion, and remarkable achievement. Her impact on the world will never be forgotten.

On behalf of the NBR Supreme Council and all members of the NBR family, both in Nigeria and the Diaspora, I offer my heartfelt condolences to the Urubusi family during this dark hour.

May God grant you the strength to bear this irreparable loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you, may her soul rest in eternal peace.”
