Faithful of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ukanafun local government area have unanimously adopted Obong Freedom Ibritam, Esq., as their Political Leader.
The APC stakeholders who made their position known through a communiqué endorsed by over one hundred and fifty party men and women, comprising Chapter and Ward executives, Chapter and Ward Caucasus, Councillorship Candidates, Elders, Women and Youth forums, noted that in adopting Obong Ibritam, they considered sincerity, capacity and other factors.
The communique reads thus “We the undersigned, representing the various recognized political/party structures and interest groups in the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ukanafun Chapter, have resolved to issue this communiqué on the issue of the Leadership of our great Party in our local government area.
On the strength of the aforementioned, we wish to declare and state as follows:”That it has become imperative for our great party to have an umbrella leadership in order to have a common direction on matters that concern the growth, success and well-being of the APC in Ukanafun local government area.
“That in selecting, electing/or adopting our Leader, we took into consideration the individual’s sincerity, commitment, capacity and contribution toward the sustenance of the APC in Ukanafun.
“That in view of the upcoming local government polls, the APC, Ukanafun Chapter needs a party whose leader is not only capable of leading, but can also be accessed anytime need arises for the purposes of actualizing the aim and aspirations of the party.
“That based on the aforesaid, we, the recognized structures of the the APC in Ukanafun, comprising Chapter and Ward Executives, Chapter and Ward Caucuses, Chapter and Ward Elders Forums, Ward Chairmen Forum, Women and Youth Leaders Forums, Councillorship Candidates’ Forum, etc, at separate meetings held earlier in March this year, unanimously selected and adopted OBONG (BARR) FREEDOM IBRITAM as LEADER of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ukanafun Chapter.
To this end, we humbly anticipate the State leadership of our great party and other relevant quarters to recognize and deal with him as such”
